Fixed Problem & Reminder

It has recently come to our attention that those who did not or could not enable SSL in their remote Usenet client were having difficulty connecting to the Velvet Networks news server. This problem has now been fixed, and we apologise for the inconvienence. Thank you to those who alterted us to this.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that you can not currently use Velvet Networks as a SMTP server. This has been and is still being worked on, but it is a process that requires due dilligence to ensure that users can send mail through Velvet Networks without the server being open as a spam relay. In the meantime, please use the SMTP server of your dial-up or broadband ISP. We apologise for any inconvienence this may cause, and appreciate your patience on this matter. We intend to get this operational as soon as possible, and an e-mail will be send to these lists as soon as that occurs.

Thank you for your continued support of Velvet Networks!
